How long does a session last?
Answer
The length of a strategic session is never defined precisely in advance, but varies from one session to the next in function of: the patient’s needs, the phase in which the therapy is, and the problem at hand. The session length can therefore vary from one hour or more to twenty minutes (generally in the advanced phases of the treatment), following the therapist’s evaluation. The only fundamental criteria followed by the therapist is an apparent flexibility guided by the pre-established objectives.
